Daily Surrender
Hey, sorry I havent posted for a while life has been a little crazy lately.
I have been working on my "new years resolutins" for those of you who dont know I do mine on my birthday. I look over my life and look at who I am and who I am striving to be and make goals for myself to get closer to being that person.
This year I got to add a new category to my goals (YAY ME!) so now not only will I be making goals for my spiritual and physical lives but also as a wifey. I already know what my goals are. I am just working on getting ready to acheve them.
Spiritually- I want to be in prayer more. For those of you who know me you know that I can pray for like 45 minutes at a time but I have been slacking really bad as a woman in ministry it is my job to constantly be in prayer for my friends and family especially my husband as God is guiding him. and in this day in age where evil is so prevelant I believe that as Christians we should be on our knees daily for our world.
Physically- I want to be at a healthy weight. at this point I weigh 158lbs. my healthy weight is from 125-130 so I am going to try and loose 25-30lbs. this year by exercising and cutting out stupid stuff like soda. and drinking a crap load more water. it sounds simple but thats only the first step. In my family there is what I like to call a "generational curse" of obeisity and diabeties. Obeisity leads to low self asteem, less motivation, and laziness (Things that are not becoming as a godly wife and hopefully some day mother. these are NOT attributes I want to impress upon my children) and Diabeties is a genetic disease that unless the proper actions are taken can result in the loss of a limb or even cause death. (another thing I do not want to give to my future children) Prov 31:17 She is energetic and strong,a hard worker."
As a wife- I want to me my husbands biggest fan! I want to be like the wife in
Proverbs 31:11-12
"Her husband can trust her,
and she will greatly enrich his life.
12
She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life."
